Karate can be practiced by men, women, and children of all ages, at any time and place, for any length of time, and requires no special equipment.
Students will develop martial arts skills in an environment of respect for the traditions of karate, respect for the place in which they train, and respect for those with whom they train.

We teach our students how to utilize extreme control throughout all techniques, therefore having minimal to no contact.

Children's Classes
Our beginner children's karate classes will establish a strong foundation of fundamentals techniques.  We implement drills that improve motor skills, self-awareness and concentration in a safe and exciting environment.  Classes are separated into small groups to guarantee individual attention.
Students will receive developmentally appropriate instruction in an atmosphere that fosters the growth of positive qualities including respect, courtesy and self-control.  Added results of these lessons will be increased self-confidence and self-esteem that children can translate to other areas of their lives.

Adult Classes

Shotokan Karate is a traditional style of Japanese martial arts.  It is recognized by its diligence of practicing the fundamentals, and performing powerful, explosive techniques while exhibiting extreme control and focus.  For the adult practitioner, martial arts classes can combat stress, increase physical condition and improve health.

In addition to self-defense, karate teaches awareness, concentration, self-discipline, and respect.  Students will receive instruction in a safe environment that fosters the personal development of positive qualities including courage, courtesy, integrity, humility and perseverance.  Additional results of these lessons, regardless of age, will be increased self-confidence and self-esteem that students can translate to other areas of their lives.
